Maintenance of Bags

Leather  treatment in general.

There are different types of leather sprays and leather wax.

Before use, you can impregnate new products with dirt and moisture-repellent spray. This protects the material against moisture and dirt. Do not spray too much and from about 20 cm the product

The leather wax feeds the leather, a leather spray protects the leather. Too much leather fat is not good for a leather bag, it can make the bag so flexible that it loses its strength, with the result that the bag deforms.

A leather spray protects the leather against dirt. It is best to inject it directly when purchasing a leather bag. There is a special spray for every type of leather.

Dirt: Depending on the material and how serious the contamination is, you can carefully clean the bag. Do this as dry as possible as this is the softest way to clean. If the product is very dirty, clean the brush first and then use a slightly damp cloth.

To ensure that you can enjoy your product for a long time, we have a number of tips

  • Make sure you do not expose your bag to the full sun and do not place the bag near the heating.
  • Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents.
  • Never place a wet bag on the heater or radiator, dry a wet bag in a well-ventilated room at room temperature
  • Try to expose your bag as little as possible to heavy rain showers.
  • Give your bag a maintenance service every six months.
  • It is best to let dirt dry and brush it with a clean brush.
  • Do not spray perfume, body spray, hair spray or the like on your leather bag, as they will damage the leather.
  • Never use soap or chemical products on leather
  • Stiff zippers: smearing with soap or using a candle along the zipper sometimes helps.
